I grew up in the Catholic church, attending mass and catechism
faithfully. While in High School, a classmate shared the
Four Spiritual Laws with me. It was then that I realized I
needed to have a personal relationship with Christ. So at
17 yrs., I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior.
In college, I became involved in a campus ministry, playing
music and organizing retreats. My wife was also raised in
a Christian home. While married, we re-committed ourselves
to the Lord. Mary and I have been married 20 years, and have a
15 year old daughter, Sara. We moved to Colorado in June
of 2002. Since we were part of an Evangelical Free
congregation in California, we sought one here. We
attended AspenRidge the very first weekend we were here, and
have been here ever since. I have been involved with
AspenRidge as a Deacon, organizing greeters, working with new
members, conducting newcomer’s orientations, going on visits
with the Pastor, and teaching Sunday School. I now serve
as an Elder.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my
personal Savior in 1972 at Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je in Bailey, Colorado.
I married my best friend, Teresa, in 1985. We have four
children: Andrew (20 yrs) married to Kiyo, James (17 yrs), Daniel
(8 yrs) and Jessica (5 yrs). We met the
Klopfenstein's through school activities and began attending
AspenRidge in 2007. I am currently serving as an Elder and
also teach in Kids for Christ. I am also working on a Masters
Degree in Biblical Studies at Front Range Bible Institute in
Colorado Springs.
I grew up in a very non-Christian family but was saved when I
was 18 yrs old. I did not have serious growth in the Lord
until many years later. My love for the Lord has grown
tremendously over the last 10 yrs as HIS blessings overwhelm me.
God is full of Grace! I have been married almost 24 years.
I have 4 beautiful children, and another one on the way in
September, plus a cute little grand daughter. Our kids are Chase
23 yrs., Sadona 13 yrs., Garhett 10 yrs., Rupert 8 yrs., Judah
(newborn) and our
grand-daughter, Winter, 4 months. We began attending Aspen
Ridge, because our friends, Jay & Nancy Klop invited us. . .
about a year and 1/2 ago. I love leading men's bible
studies and generally being a good ole boy.
I grew up
in a Christian home and accepted Christ while still in
elementary school. Since coming to salvation, the Lord has
provided many Godly men to help me grow in knowledge and
discipleship. My wife, Pam, and I were married in 1993. We have a wonderful teenage daughter,
Casey. We started attending AspenRidge after moving to
Colorado Springs (compliments of the Air Force) in 2006.
I've been an elder at AspenRidge since 2007 and
frequently lead adult Sunday School classes. My hobbies
include being an avid reader, woodworking and learning to read
the Bible in its original languages.
